Get in touch

We're a tiny team. Every email is read by a human, usually answered within a day. There's no support queue, no tier-1 outsourcing, no chatbot. Pick the right address below and we'll get back to you.

Pick the right inbox

We have a single shared inbox but routing your message by topic helps us prioritize without losing anything.

Product support

Something not working? A QR not scanning, the reader missing a code, a download not starting? Send the URL of the page you were on plus a screenshot if you can β€” it saves a back-and-forth.

Bug reports

Crashes, broken pages, weird rendering, accessibility issues. The more reproducible, the faster we fix it. Browser + version + a short sequence of clicks goes a long way.

Feature requests

Logo-in-the-middle QR, batch CSV, dynamic QRs, a Chrome extension β€” we have ideas, you have ideas, the overlap is what gets built first. Tell us what you'd use; that's the strongest vote.

Press & media

Writing about QR codes, free tools, or the calm-software movement? Happy to chat, share screenshots, or quote a founder. We try to reply same-day for press deadlines β€” flag the deadline in your subject line.

Distribution, integrations, B2B licensing, white-label, embedding the generator in your product β€” let's talk. Tell us your context up front so the first reply already has substance.

Short-circuit FAQ

Most contacts fall into one of these. Read these first β€” if your answer is here, you save us both a round trip.

Why won't my QR scan?
Most often: contrast too low (background and foreground colors too similar), error-correction too low for a damaged print, or quiet-zone margin too small. Boost error correction to H, keep at least 4 modules of background around the code, and use high-contrast colors. Then reprint and re-scan.
Can I change the URL behind a printed QR?
Not directly β€” static QRs (the kind we generate) encode the URL into the pattern itself. If you might need to change destinations later, point the QR at a redirect URL you control (e.g. example.com/r/menu) and change the redirect server-side. Dynamic QRs as a built-in feature are on our roadmap.
Do you offer batch generation?
Not in the UI yet, but the API endpoint /api/qr/generate accepts single text + style and returns a PNG β€” easy to script with curl or Node.js. We'll ship a CSV β†’ ZIP UI when there's enough demand; tell us if you'd use it.
Can I put my logo in the middle of the QR?
Not built-in (yet). Export the QR as SVG, open it in your design tool, place your logo over the center covering at most ~20% of the surface, and set error correction to H so the QR survives the overlay. Native logo overlay is on the roadmap.
Is it really free? What's the catch?
It's really free. No watermarks, no signup, no email gate, no resolution cap. There's no catch β€” we built it because the QR-tool space was overdue for a calm alternative.
Can I use Zen QR commercially?
Yes. The QR codes you generate are yours to use for any purpose β€” packaging, posters, business cards, advertising, products. No attribution required.

Before you write

If you'd like a faster reply, include these β€” they're the questions we'd ask anyway.

  • The page URL where you were when the issue happened.
  • Browser + browser version (e.g. Safari 17 on macOS).
  • A short reproduction: what you clicked, what you expected, what you got.
  • A screenshot or short screen recording if relevant.
  • Whether you used the camera scanner, the image uploader, or the API endpoint.

When we're around

Office hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 Europe/Paris. We don't operate a 24/7 desk, and we don't pretend to. Outside those hours, your email queues quietly and gets a human reply on the next workday morning.

Postal address

For legal correspondence (postal mail only), write to: Zen QR / Zen Convert, France. Email contact remains the fastest channel for anything non-postal.

Or just use the tool

Most questions disappear once you try it. Both tools are free, no signup, in your browser.
